Nice to have max house as early as possible. They are both used for very different things. Rapier is good for monsters with stab weakness as well as training strength. Hmm assuming you are just following the standard path of slayer/pvm. Priorities should be in roughly the following order, from most to least: fury, zerk (i) ring, zamorakian hasta (for dragons), guthans, tassets (bcp*), sgs. Veracs for some bosses if you need to can come before tassets. DFS isn't neccessary but if you REALLY enjoy hunting ...Typically, neither are all that good for Slayer training. BGS is mostly good for bossing, and SGS is kinda not worth the cash when you can use that money to get the skills to complete the hard/elite Seers Diary for the Enhanced Excaliber.
