I have a manual that points to several different possible problems. The coil resistance seems to be in range so I am leaning toward the cdi unit.408 posts · Joined 2012. #7 · Jul 1, 2013. Its possible that its one of the relays. When you turn on the key under normal circumstances you should hear 1. the fuel pump hum for a few seconds, 2. the IACV will buzz and 3. there should be a click from one of the relays under the seat.

Posted November 2, 2010. i think the reason they are worried about the bank angle sensor is because the sensor is most likely part of the ignition circuit. if the sensor reads cam or crank angles it will not give the pulse generated signal it needs to tell the coil to make spark. Turns over fine, all fuses good, but wouldn't start. Pulled plug and grounded it to exhaust and it's not sparking. Checked grounds on starter and next to right rear shock. They're good.

I would start by filling all the connector plugs with diaelectric grease starting with you stator plug in and working all the way up to your battery, sounds ilke you have a moisture issue. Put a 8mm wrench or socket on it and try to shift it up and down. If that works than your problems are electric.
