Unfortunately, we only have time to explore Zion NP as a day trip from Page, AZ. Just had a few basic questions. 1. For early April, I'm assuming it will be chilly in Zion National Park (maybe 40s or 50s F).search this forum on equipment recommendations concerning the narrows. there are some different opinions out there. but one thing is sure. you have to protect your toes in the virgin river. so open toed tevas are not a good idea! i used old sneakers that i brought that was it. hiking stick can help and hurt depending on the current and water ... That is only one hike within Zion, there are many other trails you can hike that don't have any issues with flooding.
