Cat 259d problems.

I have a 2016 Cat 259d with heat and AC. It keeps overheating after about 15 minutes of use. Also, heater blows cold air. Went to put in new thermostat and had only about 6oz. Of coolant drain from radiator hose.overflow reservoir is in correct range, radiator is dry. Changed thermostat with new and stilloverheats. Any ideas?An option also exists to upgrade to a hydraulic version that CAT is helping to convert. The best option is to see your dealer and ask for assistance with this known problem. Hopefully, they will be able to provide some if not all coverage on this repair. It’s possible (I did it during a demo) to pick up a golf ball sized rock and take out the whole machine by busting this hydro line wedged between the chassis and the track. Dec 20, 2015. #2.
