It is highly RNG dependent, but below is a write up of the strategy I used in case any other SLKR owners are struggling to complete the event. Proving Grounds happens once per month, and is where you can earn shards for the conquest units that are over a year old, and also requires 4mil GP to get into. On top of that, you need a full team of relic 3 or higher units to attempt the battles, so having 4mil won't help you there if your relics are all over the place.
