The more mechanical the better (ie the less removed from the digital age) Budget: $200 - $500. 2. jeffk42 • r/rangefinders, r/AnalogCommunity, r/analog • 6 yr. ago. It's a bit indirect (I can't bear to part with my FM2n's), but there's a guy local to me selling a Nikon FM (all black model) with a 50mm f/1.8 for $150.

If you like analog photography and have a 500€ budget and already have a camera : buy the necessary equipment for homespooling and development: 100€ second hand. buy 30,5m rolls of fomapan, spool your own rolls, and develop them: it brings costs below 3€/36 shots. = ~4900 shots. For more precise focusing you could use a small rangefinder, with Olympus 35 RC being one of the smallest. Leica II and III, and their Soviet and Japanese clones, are also very small if you choose a small lens. But even the smallest RF is a bit bigger than non-RF cameras, and you stand the risk of the RF being vibrated out of alignment.A lot of good/popular (can't really say good cuz I never tested them nor did I read a review) have already been mentioned. But if you wanna keep it under 150 bucks I recommend the Sekonic L208 Twinmate. Note that this is not a spotmeter. It can measure only reflected light and incident light.Press J to jump to the feed. The amount of work that goes into screwing on the filter and setting the white balance is more than just changing the setting yourself. 3. bene_eins • 1 mo. ago. There is a bit more to it: You can use those filters for white balance, as they even out the light thats coming to the lens. One secondary important thing is colour shift from the lens.530 votes, 45 comments. 78.6k members in the AnalogCommunity community. A place for the analog community to discuss whatever you want. Get an old vhs camcorder and some tapes, and plug and play. If you are talking about shooting motion pictures on film, it is somewhat inexpensive for a cheap super 8 short film (15min maybe), but the costs are already $200 for 15 minutes of super 8 footage, and processing is not cheap unless you do it at home. This is the sister sub of r/analog, where all of the non-photo-sharing stuff happens!
