Dnd coffeelock.

At its core, DnD is a storytelling game with the primary mechanic being resource management Opinion. Coffeelock removes the need to manage resources, and if you truly belive that throwing that restriction out the window results in a balanced multiclass, I'm not sure what point there is in discussing anything pertaining to balance with you.

A Coffeelock is a very specific Multiclass of Sorcerer and Warlock that relies on the fact that a Warlock's spell slots recover on a Short Rest. A Coffeelock can use the 'Flexible Casting' 2nd-level Sorcerer feature to convert a Warlock's spell slots into Sorcery Points, and then convert those Sorcery Points into Sorcerer Spell Slots.

Hi everyone o/ After an the interesting analysis of the various Warlock Patrons and Invocations from Yharim , the comment from Demo_N and the Warlock backstory idea from Cardinal_Fang, I got to thinking on the Hexblade Warlock Patron, and realised that, as much as I am completely in love with the concept of an effective blade-wielding warlock, the Hexblade is not a confusing and (imho) not ...im thinking of making a coffeelock after a PC death and rn we're at level 7. the main issues I have is that 1) I cant think of a good pact/origin combo and how to level the character.A "Coffeelock" is a multiclass Sorcerer / Warlock. Certain things like Coffeelock, Simulacrum+Wish, Healing Spirit, wildly out of norm magic item accrual, or heck weird stat determining methods like 'all-18s' or '5d6 drop the worst 2' or the like are perfectly fine in a game where everyone is on board with the alteration, and everyone knows that the game will get a little wacky.

Also per JC there are two valid interpretations of the multiclassing rules, one of which completely shuts down the interaction that is the basis for the coffeelock. The Tentacle of the Deep is a great bonus action even partially upgraded, so you can invest some time into a Sorcerer of your choice. And there also is a heavy difference between coffeelock and the capstone (which unargueably sucks): it does stack. The capstone recovers EXPENDED sorcery points. The warlock also recovers only expended ressources - but spell slots. Which in turn can be transformed into sorcery points. Thinking about sorcerer recovery inevitably leads me to wondering about the coffeelock, perhaps the most busted build in tabletop dnd. Not having to make eye contact with the DM when you make inifinite spells is a huge buff. Reply More posts you may like.

It's not a full coffeelock in the sense of indefinitely large spell slot amounts, but it does mean that a 3/3 warlock sorcerer can have an additional 16 sorc points worth of spell slots, which is 8 extra 1st level slots. Something to keep in mind if you don't like this type of combo.

Coffeelock is pretty bad in bg3 because of how rests work. Imo youre better going warlock 2 - sorc 10 and just being an omega blaster.
